Conspicuous Consumer –
This gripper works fairly well, but it will still slide a bit at times on our vinyl flooring. The pad is large enough that I was actually able to cut it in half to use for two smaller bath rugs.

Grips my rug very well and is good quality. There was a strong chemical odor when I took it out of the packaging but the instructions say to air it out. I put it over my fence and within a couple of hours the smell had completely gone away. I left it outside in the sun for a total of six hours and the odor never returned.

These work OK but they don’t stay under the rug well. You would need to attach them to the rug somehow. They do stop the rug from slipping but if using for a small run, they will not work well.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: This product was very reasonably priced compared to the others so I thought I’d give it a try. It works perfectly! I had washed a area rug so many times that bottom was starting to wear out, even though the surface still looked good. I used this rug pad under the rug in a very frequently used area and it never slips!

I received one thin, odorless, correctly sized mat that unfolded as expected. If I had wanted anything thicker, I would have paid more money.
I bought this mat after my rug slipped out under me while making the bed and I landed on the floor. Only been using it for a week now but the rug has quit sliding around. Seems like a good, inexpensive solution for a safety issue.
